About:
We created a nostalgic short animation that takes us back to our childhood. Our story is told through the perspective of a lunchbox as a means to tell a story about Zoey and her father. Children develop a sense of security through routine and familiar things. This is why kids love to play with the same toys and watch the same movies over and over again. This story is meant to create feelings of nostalgia and help us remember how we developed a sense of comfort through a transitional object that connected us with a past time period and the people dear to us. It not only looks into the minds of children, but suggests that the role of a parent is the variable in shaping children to become strong adults. It taps into the aspects of developmental psychology where routine and specific sensories create a firm grasp on comfort.
